Hosted IP Telephony
Voice
over IP is now being adopted across the board, from
single home office users to small and medium
enterprises and beyond. Businesses are now seeking a
simple to use telephone system rather than the out
dated traditional phone PBX. Hosted VoIP telephony
allows integration with existing PBX systems giving
a gradual transition to a full IP telephony
solution.
PBX Interconnectivity
We can provide a 100% IP based telephony system, or
a hybrid of both the traditional and IP worlds by
interconnecting with existing PBX systems. This
connectivity is transparent to system users with a
consistent numbering plan, desk-to-desk dialling and
full feature transparency. Particularly for larger
deployments, this any-to any interworking will allow
customers to retain their existing investment in
systems and allow a phased transition to full IP.
As a centrally hosted service, our system makes no
distinction
between the number of sites or the number of users
per site. Unlike a PBX, there are no dependencies
[such as VPN’s or IP cards] and no additional costs
that limit one sites' ability to communicate with
another.
Traditional PBX systems are islands of information.
They have their own system Directories and users
that are not visible elsewhere. While they can be
networked, this essentially amounts to off-switch
diversion and the intelligence with the call is
lost. PumaIP will support seamless inter-site
networking, between a few large offices or a large
number of very small locations, even if those other
sites have a mix of IP endpoints and telephone
systems.
Remote Working
Remote workers come in many shapes and sizes; from
permanent home workers and those that work
occasionally from home, to mobile professionals,
logistics fleets and farmers. We consider a Remote
Worker to be anyone with a communication requirement
that is not deskbound. And we understand that one
size does not fit all. PumaIP can provide a suite of
